In Times of Anxiety and Sorrow

How it is read

Allahumma innee 'abduk, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyatee bi-yadik, madin fiyya hukmuk, 'adlun fiyya qada-uk, as-aluka bikullis-min huwa lak... an taj'alal-Qur'ana rabee'a qalbee.

What it means

O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is prevailing, Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that is Yours... that You make the Quran the spring of my heart and the light of my chest.

Where it comes from

Musnad Ahmad (3712), Sahih Ibn Hibban
